Taskbar previews show you a preview of currently open windows in applications, but if your using a magnifier they can be distracting. The easiest way to switch this off is by disabling the Aero theme, but this then stops the Windows 7 Magnifier from working in full screen mode.

Windows Live Messenger normally starts automatically when you first start Windows 7, if you don’t wish to use Live Messenger you can disable it. One of the benefits of disabling Messenger is that it can speed up your Windows boot time.

In many Windows applications you can undo your last action, this can be done by pressing the undo button on the toolbar, or by using the keyboard:-
- Undo – CTRL+Z
- Redo – CTRL+Y
